Are you fulfilling your potential? Do you know what gifts God has given you? Do you know how best to use them? Do you know where to use them?
If not, we highly recommend the gift id class, taught by our very own James Cronin. The course is only three weeks, and it will be offered at two different times. Note that this is open to anyone, so invite your friends.
7:00 pm Evening Course: Starts Wednesday, March 29th
10:00 am Morning Course: Starts Tuesday, April 4th
See map and directions to the City Rescue Mission.
Child care is offered for the morning course but spots are limited. This will work on a first come-first served basis, so, if you wish to attend the morning sessions please sign up at the information table where you will find a flyer with the dates.
The children's ministry here at RCC is growing and even though we are excited, we are in desperate need of volunteers who desire to make an investment in the lives of the children of our church. Please pray about the gifting of your time, your love, and your excitement about Jesus to our children. You can talk to Amy Gay or Jennifer Green or sign up on the clip board before and after each service. There are openings in nursery, mini zoom, zoom, and kids crew.
If you would like to be baptized and make a public profession of your faith in Christ please sign up in church or contact us at the church office.
In case you haven't met two of our new staff members we have kindly "encouraged" them to write a little blurb about themselves. Here's a little background on Amy Gay (our new Director of Children's Ministries), and Heather Ledford's story (she's our new Office Manager) on how she felt called to RCC.
If you have "stars in your eyes" and would like a chance to "keep on rockin" with other musicians, on RCC's stage, now's your chance. Ed Nixon, RCC's talented drummer, is getting together musicians for iJam, Tuesday, March 21st from 7-9pm in the City Rescue Mission auditorium.
You don't have to come to RCC, so if you know of anyone that you would like to invite this is a great opportunity to have some fun and keep on rockin! (Sorry for all the Foreigner lines - I had to do it).
Here's something to get you in the mood to rock!...
I received this email from a member of RCC this morning and was reminded of how fortunate we are to be in a church where God is moving and teaching us through many, rather than a few. These thoughts are powerful and I hope they encourage you like they have me. I hope the person who sent this is okay with me forwarding it. Very simple, but massive in potential impact for how we live out our faith.
Every week we meet in the church office at 11:30am to pray for the life of the church. We believe that prayer is vital to everything we do and we would love as many of you as possible to join us. Your prayers make a difference!
Would you like to have regular prayer support? You can, by just meeting with a couple of people on a regular basis to pray for each other. If this is of interest to you please email Rose or give her a call at 904.388.4240.
A member sent this to me and said the following: I thought this post and the exercise found therin is absolutely profound. I completely buy it. Its from Internetmonk.com, the guy writing it is Reformed Baptist I think. Hoping it will make us better followers of Jesus. -Anonymous
